Don't get your fingers burnt!
“It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When
you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay
too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you
bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The
common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a
lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well
to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will
have enough to pay for something better.”
John Ruskin (1819 -1900)
Things online sellers DON’T talk about:
1. Insurers requirement for "due diligence" and "duty of care".
2. Void or minimum guarantees, no spare parts availability.
3. Installers will not fit as they have to ‘put their name to it’.
4. Distance Selling Regulations.
5. Stoves not HETAS or DEFRA approved.
6. Country of manufacture and long delivery times.
7. Off loading requirements for heavy items.
8. No site visits if any issues or problems occur.
9. No training on your appliance.
10. No after sales service or ongoing support.
11. Legal requirement for Building Control Documentation.

Always use a Registered HETAS business. John Ruskin's famous advice was right over 100 years ago and still is. Casualty Departments and Consumer Advice pages are full with problems of people who thought they knew better.
